One Among Those Stars

I don't remember too much.
Just those loud 'baby cryings' !
She was the loudest in the whole hospital.
So, I knew she would be my perfect match.

I was only three.
So, they refused to give the baby to me.
Mom said "you are too young "
Thus, being young wasn't fun!

But, one day they handed it to me.
I was worried first.
But, was proud next
As I was a grown up at last!

She looked into my eyes
With those big black eyes.
I laughed.
She smiled.
I made weird faces.
She cried.

I looked up at the stars
And said " one among you is lying on my lap!  "

Today, she is what
Which pumps my blood.
She's all I want to keep.
She's what I can't live without.
Literally, she is my life!
